After over 70 years of success, the St. Regis Paper Company, a world-renowned producer of paper founded in 1899, merged with the St. Paul and Tacoma Lumber Company. The Heisler Steam Locomotive from the St. Regis Paper Company, bearing the model number #92 3-Truck Model HR2948 Analog or HR2948S Digital Locomotive, could be seen pulling logs out of the forests of the Pacific Northwest from the Milwaukee Railroad Line, connecting the west to the east, as well as the Northern Pacific.

Rivarossi, an Italian manufacturer and now part of the Hornby Hobbies family of brands, has produced some of the most iconic locomotives in steam, diesel, and electric over the last 50 years. The Heisler, Climax, or Shay locomotives were essential in the development of the west, becoming the new workhorses in forestry, able to navigate the difficult terrain to haul timber that was quickly manufactured in paper mills and used in the construction of new towns as business continued to grow and shape the recently inaccessible mountains and dense forests.

The fully assembled, die-cast painted body includes two skeleton log cars with two different running numbers and 9 logs included per car. These skeleton log cars with removable logs and real chain to secure the load, with fine detailing, could regularly be seen being pulled by these locomotives from the woods across the upper Midwest and Western United States in the early 20th century.
