The 'Turbomotive', often referred to as 'The Turbo', was an experimental non-condensing steam turbine locomotive inspired by similar Swedish Ljungström locomotives, built by Stanier as the third of the 'Princess Royal' Class. This innovative steam locomotive model was an attempt to adapt to the changing landscape of rail transport, with the advent of Dieselisation and Grouping upending the traditional notions of the industry.

Weighing in at an astonishing 589g, over half a kilo, the 'Turbomotive' is the heaviest steam locomotive model ever made by the manufacturer.
